Great post - I have noticed some dry skin on Rocky as well - not sure if I should change shampoo to an oatmeal based as I have heard they are gentler - we bathe him about once a week so it could be drying for him. |
yea we bath her once a week also, i currently have gentle puppy shampoo, but im thinking i need to get an oatmeal shampoo?? or maybe vitamen E? |

I had been using puppy shampoo but switched to a new shampoo from fruits & passion: Fruits & Passion Canada : Products - recommended use is once a month - I will try the sensitive skin/puppy next time unless another YTer can recommend a great shampoo or solution to the dry skin. |
yea, does anyone have a good otameal or dry skin shampoo they recommend? |

Joey's breeder recommended the Biogroom products, and she said to always use a good conditioner, remember, conditioners condition the skin as well as the hair. She also stressed the importance of rinsing, I'm glad you are being careful with this step. |
Hi There... I am brand new to this site. I was doing research for my 4 month old yorkie. He has major dry skin and dandruff.... it is so bad that he is scratching himself to bleeding. I dont know what to do. His little tummy is all scabbed up and he keeps going at it. And I keep noticing chunks of hair on the carpet. I am worried and dont know what to do for the little guy. Any recommendations? |
Douxo calm shampoo. Got rid of Baby Chloe's flakey skin. I don't use conditioner. It leaves her sooooo soft, but doesn't have a pretty smell. It doesn't stink, just a little medicine like. |
I know when I first got Suzi she had dandruff real bad too. I changed her diest, and use a oatmeal shampoo , condioner all in one. She is better now. You are right, the flaky skin does make them miserable. |
