Goats Milk? Roxy went absolutely crazy when she smelled my glass of milk the other day (she actually did a hand stand up on her front legs to get at the cup:rolleyes:) and she cannot drink it as she vomits it straight back up. So I gave her some goats milk and while she's definately not as excited about it as she is cows milk, she does like to drink the goats milk. It's very hard to get her to drink any water but she gets alot from her food. My question is does anyone else's little one drink goat's milk and can it do any harm to my Roxy? |
You probably wouldn't want to give any kind of milk as a regular drink...Her having a sip every once in awhile is not going to hurt her though :) Some dogs are lactose intolerant, but goat's milk is supposed to be much more digestible than cow's milk, so it's probably better for your baby than cow milk. I homecook for my liver compromised yorkie, and he does have goat milk protein powder. |
1 Attachment(s) Hi and Welcome to Yorkie Talk. One of our puppies, from 2 litters ago, lives on a goat farm. My friend raises Nubian Goats. Nicky has a sensitive tummy and she is very carefull about what he eats & she has given him goat milk in his diet since he was 16wks old (per her vet's suggestion). He has done real well on it. I don't know how much she gives him or how often but he has grown up to be a very happy guy. Here's his pic from summer '07. |
