Which are the best toothbrushes for Yorkies? We use the standard pet toothbrush, but the small end is a little too big, I think. |
I used children's toothbrushes, but recently got those fingertip brushes, and I really like them. I feel like I have more control with them. |
Made a teeny one I recently bought a 3 headed brush brushes both sides and top, but it was too big for Bellas tiny mouth. So I looked at it and realized I caould remove the 2 side brushes. Which left me with a tiny little tooth brush. I was so excited. But she wasn't still hated it. She spazzes out when I try to brush still. I would like to try the finger ones. But like I said she hate when I try to go near her mouth. Don't hold out much hope though.:(:thumbdown |
I use the fingerbrush with Teddy and I like it because it is so much easier to control him and the brush! |
Thank you, everyone, for the advice. I will get a fingertip brush tomorrow...I've seen them at Pet Smart. |

That's where I got mine, each time I use it, it gets a little easier. Using a dog toothpaste helps because he really like the taste of that poutry flavored toothpaste, but he still isn't what I would call cooperative. :D |
I use gauze over my finger, it works really well. |
Those finger brushes seem to work pretty well, and look pretty easy to use. Someone posted a video of a vet using one of those finger brushes, and it was a fairly quick process. I usually just give Bright Bites dental treats to my dog though...he doesn't like getting his teeth brushed. |
