My breeder said that someone was purchasing another puppy from her because they just lost theirs while undergoing anesthesia to be spayed. It seems like to me that Yorkies seem to have more of a problem than tiny kittens, and other small animals, etc. Two vets that I've talked with say they are more worried about older dogs going under than a tiny puppy. And of course they always say there's a chance that could happen any time even with humans. I've been thinking about going to a vet that deals with small and exotic animals. She does lazer surgery to spay. She's expensive, but well worth it if it doesn't kill her. |
My Vet won't spay under 3 lbs...KiKi is 14 months now and just this month hit 3 lbs...she is just now going through her very first heat...noticed little red spots on her pee pad on Monday...and she is swollen there and she is a little less active and not eating as much. |
How much does she weigh now? Hi, I was just wondering how much Bay-Bay weighs now and if you have gotten her spayed yet or not, if you don't mind telling me. :animal-pa |
Neuturing is it necessary? I am considering getting my 10 mth old neutered, I just dont know if this is something that is necessary?? He is 3 .8 ish pounds, and I am very nervous(especially after reading above), Does anybody recommend this? We do not plan on breeding him in the future, he does have lots of teeth that we wanted to pull at the same time, but maybe the babies will still fall out? does anybody have any answers? |

Thank you for your help, just nervous because hes so little, going under but my vet is wonderful, I will get it done then and the tooth issue, thats what I thought, they should be out now, so better to get a few pulled when hes in there |
Well, Sullie my 10 mth old male is going to be neutered this Fri. he weighs in at 5 lbs and I'm still nervous. I think he has one tooth that needs to come out. I'm hoping it will help with the hiking of his leg. I hate that:eek: It prob won't. The previous owner should have done it when he was younger. |
