Well, there is a few things you can do. YOu can buy a baby toothbrush, cat toothbrush, or a finger brush. I hope you are using dog made toothpaste as well! but you can start off by using a fingerbrush or your finger and just rub her gums so she gets used to it, and do it maybe once a week, and they gradually step her up to the toothbrush. :D |

NO, I do not use dental floss....just the wipes. Lol, I can just imagine flossing her teeth!! I have heard of people flossing their dog's teeth, but I don't think I could handle that! I think they start losing their baby teeth at around 5 mo. (I may be wrong.....but I'm pretty sure that's when Bella started losing her's). One vet told me they should have all their permanent's by 6 mo., but another said by 8 mo.---that one also said to wait until 10 mo. just to be sure (she has to get a partial dewclaw that grew back removed later, but we're waiting so she doesn't have to go under anesthesia more than absolutely necessary!) |
Whoops! We must have posted at the same time...sorry. |

I'm so sad because my baby Leo has tartar on his back teeth and now its harder to get it out. Theres no way he'll let me brush his teeth, he doesn't stop moving!! What should I do??? |

You may want to gradually get Leo used to the toothbrush. As he gets older, he'll need his teeth brushed and the earlier they get used to it, the easier it is. :) |
