Has Ne one tried Merrick dog food? Well I went to pet people yesterday and was going to buy innove but i ended up getting Merrick because I liked the ingedients more.. it has real pieces of veggies in the food... Im going to start them on it slowly tomorrow and see how they do... Has ne one tried it good or bad advice is helpful thank you! |
I just started feeding Gus Merrick two days ago - Grammy's Pot Pie. This seems to be his favorite brand so far, he usually doesn't eat right when I put the food down but with this he goes to town. |
i got a few samples but didn;t try it yet. But i have heard good things about this food! |
Is it the dry Merrick, or the canned? I have only tried the canned, the dogs love it, I give it as a special treat. I have only tried samples of the dry food, it seems like a good food, but I prefer the dry food I am already feeding. |
I bought the dry and wet i havent given the wet yet but they arent to fond of the dry yet so well see over the next few days how they act with it... finding a good food they hard is getting harder and harder!!! didnt like canidae anymore so if they dont like this im going to try royal canine natural blend b/c its not as fatty as the regualr RC... it has no wheat corn or by products! im thnking of trying solid gold maybe too |
Yummy stuff! Winston's been on Merrick for a couple of months now. He was a very picky eater before then. Since he is only 8 months, I got the Puppy Plate Dry but I mix it with the Puppy Plate can ones. What I do is put a tablespoon of the canned food with a little water and add frozen green beans or peas then microwave it for about 15-20 seconds. Then I chop up a little carrot put the dry food in stir it up. I just started to branch out in getting the other Merrick can variety... like Grandma's Pot Pie, Napa Valley Picnic, etc. Winston loves it. :animal36 I believe me... I am so happy. If you want to just use the Puppy Plate Dry, all you have to do is put a little bit with water and microwave it them mix in the dry. I swear it smells almost like my homemade stew. |
