Topical Flea Preventative and Bathing Hi all! Well I bit the bullet and got a dose of Advantage for Zoë. (It was the brand her hopefully new vet recommended to try first.) The worry of her getting a flea was too much! I mean, we live in Florida, even the vet jokingly said we've got super fleas down here. I only got one dose to see how she reacts to decide if I'll continue using Advantage or switch to something else. (Though $15 for one dose is crazy, especially when the suggested Frontline spray is only $30 something for the entire bottle.) Anyway, I administered the dose yesterday afternoon. She hadn't had a bath for a week and a half when I applied it so I knew I was good on that front. I'm trying to wait to bath her now (she's really ratty looking but I can handle that for her sake). I guess she'll be good to get a bath Tuesday afternoon then? My question is though: can she not get wet at all or just not a full bath? I was able to find Budy Spray at my local Petco (no conditioner yet so I held off on the shampoo then). I have not been wetting her coat when she gets brushed (I know I should have but I didn't know what to use and figured with her puppy coat just brushing was a good start). Could I use the Buddy spray now or wait until she's good to get bathed? Thanks for everything! -Vicky and sleeping (like usual) Zoë P.S. Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I guessed it was better in the Health section than the grooming one as I'm concerned about maintaining the effectiveness of the Advantage. |
I use Revolution and put it on yesterday and decided to bathe Pixie and Roxie tonight so I looked on the package andit said do not get them wet for 2 hours after applying, but I am not sure about Advantage |
