Easing knee pain without drugs Simon has luxating patellas and he has been fine without meds. I had a vet a while ago give me Rimadyl for when they are bothering him but do not want to give them to him (besides they are expired now anyway). He is limping a bit today and I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to help him without medication or with something natural? Thanks, Kimberly~ |

I don't know about the drugs, however, my late angel Gracie had the patella surgery and did wonderfully the rest of her life! If Simon needs it I'd say sooner rather than later is best. They recover much more quickly the younger they are. JMO, though. |
Thanks ELizabeth! Luckily it isn't bad enough to require surgery yet (but if it gets there I will do it younger) it just seems like every once in awhile they bother him and only after high activity like long walks or a lot of jumping (that I attempt to stop). I was just noticing the other day he was limping and wondering if there was anything I coud do to help him ease the pain. I'm glad to hear it worked for Gracie, I have never known anyone who had it done so that is very good news ;) |
