smokey started out on Eukanuba puppy....but i was told by my vet that yorkies tend to gain too much weight on it so i switched to Nutro Natural Brown Rice and Venison......i will have to read up on the latest findings before i consider changing him and my daughter's yorkie as they both have not had problems nor does their poo smell as bad on it...something for me to research...... |
Orijen 6 Fish. It's good for Layla's allergies and her coat is sooooo soft and shiney now! |
I am in the process of switching Mojo from a mix of Royal Canin/Blue Buffalo over to Innova. We also have two sample bags open of the new Eukanuba foods (Venison and Turkey). Anybody trying these two new Eukanuba foods? The ingredients look pretty good, but he's not crazy about them. Mojo is a very picky eater. His breeder had him on Bil Jac and I initially switched him to Royal Canin after he wouldn't eat the dry Bil Jac, and he likes RC. Then I read the reviews and have been trying to switch him over to a better quality food ever since, but his favorite is still Royal Canin. I also have a bag of Pinnacle that I haven't opened yet, since we have so many open now, trying to find a dry food he will eat. Thank Goodness he is liking Innova, because that is really what I want him to eat. |
I am in process of switching from Harmoney farms to Taste of the Wild. I have fed nutro, until I read an article one time linking nutro to defiance and attitude, even aggression. I switched to royal canin, but it got ridiculously expensive. I went searching at the holistic pet shop and came up with taste of the wild. I hear its wonderful and healthy! |
Lulu gets Royal Canin. It's the only food she'll eat. |
I had both of mine on Innova small bites, but recently Zander started to have smoothie bms. Jazzie is still on Innova and doing good. Zander is now on Calif. Naturals. I found from experience to go with a food that is meant for a puppy if you have a puppy, adult if you have an adult dog. Good luck. |
I feed Natural Balance Ultra Premium Small Bites and my boys LOVE it! We haven't had any health problems since the switch and I give credit to the food for that! |
Gracie just loves Artemis Holistic All Natural for small adult dogs. She gobbles it all down before I can hardly get it in her dish. |
I mix Chicken Soup and Nature's Variety Instinct Chicken Meal Dog Food. |

Ariel gets fed Orijen 6 Fresh Fish in the mornings and NV Raw during the evenings. She's going back to NV only when we run out of the Orijen food though. |
We feed all of our dogs Wellness. The big dogs get the super 5 mixes and the yorkies get the Wellness Puppy and the Wellness Small Breed adult. We used to feed Nutro as well and did not really have any problems but switched last spring when I started hearing bad things. When we switched I noticed Buddy's coat improved dramatically. |

Our pup came on Nutro and we started switching him that night, but he started spitting the Nutro out immediately. The supplement kept him from ever having upset tummy....it was a blessing! :animal36 |

I feed my Murphy Innova but switching to Wellness I used to feed my Murphy wellness puppy and then went to Innova Small bites, But I am now having trouble finding the small bites from Innova, so I am trying to switch him to Wellness Super5mix Small Breed as it is tiny and he can eat it better. I trust the Wellness Brand because as a Puppy he was so sick with tummy issues and the puppyfood from Wellness was the only thing he could eat that did not upset him. They also send me emails and newsletters with coupons for their products all the time which is good considering the food is abit expensive to me. Its trial and error I guess....good luck in picking a brand your furbaby will love |
I was feeding my guys Canidae until they changed their formula, they don't like it now. I am trying California Natural and I think it makes them gasey and they just kind of pick at it. I may go back to Taste of the Wild. I thought it was constipating just because their stools were firm, but I never did see them have any problems going. They really liked it and ate well. Any one else like Taste of the Wild? My favorite is Timberwolfe, but they keep raising the price like crazy!! |
Dinner Sophia, Tuffey and our 2 other dogs all eat Royal Canin. It has very small kibble and is easy for them to eat. My Yorkies Sophia and Tuffey are extremely picky. They love Royal Canin and it seems to be a well made food for yorkies since it is formulated for them. They don't even eat most treats - no Milk Bones or anything like that. They enjoy Billy Jack treats. |
I feed Orijen. GREAT food. Just remember - NO corn, NO wheat or soy, NO by products, when buying dog food. Alot more NO's than you can wrap your head around actually, but let's start out slow :D |
