Time for the tooth fairy Kacee was 18 weeks old Saturday. I was getting ready to brush her teeth and I look in her mouth every night before I do and tonight I noticed that she was missing her upper front teeth and one of her bottom front teeth. Wasn't much left to brush! :p |
I have noticed lately Cosmo is missing teeth. He is loosing them right and left now. I don't know where they are at. Dont know where to begin looking he chews on everything. :) |
I suppose they both look like first-graders! :D |
Moxie is 20 weeks old and hasn't lost any teeth yet. At what age does this usually happen? I took him to the Vet last week and he said he wanted to wait to neuter him untill his teeth fell out in case he had to pull some that way he could do both proceedures at once. I'd like to get him fixed as ASAP because he is humping everything and everyone LOL |
Aw. I remember when Gracie lost hers she looked sooooo cute!!!!!! :) |
At about 4 months of age... :) The front teeth will be replaced first, then the adult canine or fang teeth erupt. They say to give them adequate chew toys to have less of a chance of retained deciduous teeth. Kacee chews on hers, too! We play tug of war and then she chews some more! :D |
My Coco is almost 6 months and her front teeth are still growing in! They are sharp but really small/short. Like I think she won't get adult teeth for a LONG time. Her baby teeth haven't even grown out. But her back molars are in..haha...weird huh? |
Ava is 15 weeks so I guess I need to start watching! :D |
Yes, little Ava will be going through this soon, too. I've been watching Kacee's everyday. Yesterday I had let her have one of those small edible bones for just a few minutes, so I suppose that might have been what did it. She chews on lots of stuff and we were playing tug of war a little while, too. She looked so funny when I looked in her mouth! :D |
Yippeee! I got two of Kacee's teeth yesterday evening! I saw one just floating around in her mouth. It had just come out and the spot it had come out of was all bloody. Then later I saw her playing with something. I picked it up and it was a tooth! The poor little thing is really having a time lately. But the tooth fairy gets two teeth now! :D |
WE got one of Cosmo's teeth today. he was playing tug o war with gracie and I noticed the sock was bloody ad sure enough there was a tooth, poor guy I hope it didn't hurt him. |
It's a keeper! :D |
I could feel two of Kacee's teeth were loose early this morning and she was really chewing and using her tongue trying to get them out. I could tell she was miserable and didn't feel well at all. Later they both came out and now I have two more teeth to add to my collection! :D She's had something to eat now and has played some. She's feeling better. Now she's taking a nap. |
Trixie is 6 months and just got done teething. Her last 2 teeth (the baby canine), got pulled when she got spayed a few days ago. They didn't look like they'd be coming out by themselves. My baby is growing up!!! |
Harley is still losing his teeth but I've only been able to successfully save 2 of them. All the rest he ate! hehe |

Six months? I'll be looking forward to when Kacee is six months old then. It isn't far off. I can now feel another loose tooth! She's not eating very well right now. :( LeeAnn...How old is Harley? :) |
Sounds like the tooth fairy is staying pretty busy with all our Yorkie's loosing their baby teeth. Awww, the fur babies are maturing! How cute! :p |

Kacee is really having a time teething! That loose tooth is still hanging in there today, so far...She woke up at 6 this morning and starting throwing up. It soon stopped. She wouldn't eat this morning, but she was feeling better after awhile. She scratches at her chin or lower jaw (whatever you want to call it). I think they're driving her crazy! Muffin never had such a bad time with her teeth. |
You guys are all going to laugh at me but this is what I did.. Harley was having a lot of trouble w/ one of his teeth in the front of his mouth and I was not about to pull it manually! (He's not a mouth friendly guy! Brushing his teeth is always a challenge!) So I got creative and punched a hole through one of his mini tennis balls and put a string through it. That way I could swing the ball around and drag it all across the floor while Harley goes bizerk trying to catch it! So whenever he grabbed it I would pull it back in the direction of his loose tooth and after about 10 min it popped out! He ran to try and eat it! It obviously didn't hurt him at all bc he never cried or whined and he didn't bleed at all either! :D It was a goofy experiment that obviously worked! He was happier after it was out and not thinks that tennis ball on a string is the coolest toy in the whole wide doggie world! :dribble: |
LeeAnn, I'm certainly not going to laugh. That's really quite clever. :yorkiesar |
