Dog peeing randomley after neutering My dog is about 5 months old now and has been neutered with Banfield in Paramus, NJ. Ever since his neutering (its been about 2 weeks so far) he has been peeing everywhere even as he is walking sometimes. Sometimes when he is frightened by me walking by him (and no I dont step on him) he will pee. i have a feeling the neutering had something to do with this because before this he had been the BEST trained dog when it came to peeing and pooping on the wee-wee pad. What the hell is going on? PLEASE HELP!!!! |
Maybe you could take him to the vet for a urinalysis and possible urine culture. From what you're describing, it's possible that he has a UTI... |
That is unusual behavior since the neuter. I would talk to your vet It could be a UTI. |
Urination irregularities can happen after surgery but since it has been so long, he most definately needs to be seen and checked for a UTI. |
this is complete BS because more money now needs to come out of my pocket as this isnt covered under my package plan. Is it a good possibility that the doctor messed something up? |
It's more than likely not the vet's fault. A urinalysis should be done to check for UTI. |
TJ definatly did random peeing after his neuter and he was so good before hand. I can't remember how long it lasted, but I remember calling the Vet and asking what heck was goning on...he said, that maybe TJ is upset with me  |

With the girls after spays, they can get urinary incontinence (which some people will deny). This doesn't really go away. With the boys, I'm not sure. It is not uncommon for urinary issues after surgery but most will go away. He really does need to be checked though and yes, Banfield covers the basics and any problem after that is very expensive to treat. Some of the vets aren't great either. It depends on the location. |
