Chicken Soup for the Pet Lovers' Soul??
 

What do you experts think about this dog food? I have ages ranging from 12 weeks to 15 months and I will be using for breeding girls. I am in REAL NEED of some advice.

I suggest you get in contact with the makers and ask them if they done feeding trials.
Last I heard they were in the works and had not happened.
I not comfortable feeding anything not trialed first.

I also have a long look at the ingredients and see just what is in it.
Protiens should be a solid bunch right at the beginning and also what the filler ie dorn or wheat or rice is.

Meal not great but they do run the protein up front and first but there are two many different kinds and if your dog turns out to be allergic your in trouble one or two protein types at a time is best.
Again I see not trails run just that they conform but that does not mean they been tested and really does work.

I don't want to sound stupid BUT what are the trials?

I am so sorry I did not mean to do that at all.
Were the food is taken to a kennel and no not a mill and feed to the dogs at the kennel for a peroid of time to see if the dogs get sick, grow and thrive or not.

I understand a kennel just been contacted not long ago for trials so it not fully test to my knowledge at this time and yes I know the kennel asked and for sure it not a puppymiller.

I feed Chicken Soup to my yorkie, and the one for giant breeds to my great dane. They are both thriving on it! It is a good food that is a little more affordable, but by no means cheap. There are alot of people on here that feed Chicken Soup. Good Luck ;)

we used to have Avie on chicken soup.. she really liked it and did well with it.. we are starting to feed RAW so that is why she is no longer on it! but i reccommend it.. we did very well on it! ;) :thumbup:

I have fed all my dogs Chicken Soup and have had nothing but wonderful results. No loose stools, no belly aches, no constipation. I do mix in Taste of the Wild(fowl kind) also, but that has only been in the last few months. Unfortunately, you still have to get the teeth cleaned. Nothing seems to help with that problem.

I feed my kids this and the only issues i have found is that my frenchies Gas is .. um more rancid with this i also go back and forth with Solid gold and i suplement with seameal from solid gold and show stoper my coats are nice I have been feeding this way for a few years .. I also like the bite size of the Chicken soup

I have been feeding chicken soup for a few months now..and all my dogs are doing wonderfull on it. they like it for one thing. and there are no more loose stools.(and Riley had a problem with loose stools for a long time, but after switching to this it stoped) and their skin and coat improved dramaticly. Riley had dry skin but not any more! and my golden Retreiver dosent shed near as much as she used to. They are deffinatly thriving on it. I recommend it to everyone.
