Do I still need to blow dry after bathing? Dino is approaching 8 months but when I first got him my breeder told me to blow dry him as a puppy because he could get pneumonia. I was wondering now that he is almost past the puppy stage do I still need to blow dry him? My house is generally in the mid 70's. Do you blow dry your little ones? |
I dont dry Emma any more. SHe is 9 months old and it takes her about 5 minutes to completely dry on her own. Plus she hates the dryer |
I usually wrap very carefully my Peanut in a towel like a burrito and warm him up. At least until he dries a little bit - I am so affraid of Pneumonia too. |
I blow dry all mine. They love it. They were started out at puppies. They didn't like being cold and that always warmed them up. |
when wet blow dry i always blow dry my yorkie as he has full coat. in order for his hair to flow the way it should i need to brush and dry at the same time. otherwise some of it may dry a little wavey in places. also if left damp i am afraid a hot spot may develop. |
I just blow dry Grayson in the winter months |

We "fetch dry" Wylie bc his hair is a bit shorter and doesn't tangle quite so bad. But we blow dry Marcel bc he's more cottony - so he tangles if we don't brush and blow the little stinkbomb. :p |
I only dry mine in the wintertime. I used to have to blow them both out because they had really long hair, but I got them cut this summer, and although I love them long, this is sooooo much easier...and they feel better too. |
I blow dry when it is cold. If the ac is on (hubby likes it cooold), I will dry. |
I blow dry Izzy all the time and she loves it. She closes her eyes and has even fallen asleep at times. It's just getting them used to the blow dryer as puppies. If I let her air dry she would roll all over the carpet to get dry and then get knotty. |
I've never been able to get Chloe use to the dryer. Not even treats help. When I use it on my hair she won't come in the bathroom. At her groomers she doesn't mind. Her hair is short, so when I let it air dry she has a curly look. It's pretty cute. |
I blow dry KiKi...even at 9 1/2 months...after a bath I will towel dry her first and then she will look at me....until I get the dryer out...she hears it running and she comes to get dried...she loves it! |
