Purina Moist & Meaty We had Buddy on Purina Moist & Meaty his whole life... I'm unsure if I want to feed it to Niles when he grows up, who is currently on Puppy Royal Canin. I've been trying to do research on Moist & Meaty, but not a lot can be found. I mean, I only had one dog on it and he lived a healthy life for 19 years. I was just wondering what other's opinion is of the food. |
i have never tried it so i can't offer my opinion...hehe...but i currently am feeding mines chicken soup....hopefully someone can help you! |
High fructose corn syrup is one of the main ingredients in this food. Ethoxyquin is used as a preservative which is a carcinogen. Menadione is also used in this food. From the looks of it, I highly doubt that most of the protein comes from the meat because the top ingredients include wheat flour, soy, etc. I would not recommend this food. Some of the more popular high quality foods include: Natural Balance, Innova, Nature's Variety, Canidae, California Natural, etc. Google some of them and find their websites. You can use the store locator on each of their websites to see if there's a store nearby that carries those foods. Good luck! |
Thanks for the tip... I was actually thinking about mixing foods but not sure which ones I should decide on or if it should be done. With my ferrets, I mix 3 high quality foods. It insures me that if a company changes their ingredients that a ferret wont stop eating the food all together and it steaches it out $30 worth of food can last me around 4 or 5 months. |
