What food is your baby on? Just out of curiosity! Since yorkies tend to be picky. I've tried countless brands before i found something he likes! He's now on Innova Evo, he's never loved a kibble like this. Brands we've tried: Merrick (can & dry) Solid Gold Timberwolve Organics Nature's Variety (raw) ...and more.. that i can't even remember! |
Glad you found one he likes. I know there are several brands in Canada that others use. My girls eat the Life's Abundance but it is only available in the USA. Whatever you decide on, always check the ingredients. Our babies depend on us giving them healthy food and treats. These are the things you want to AVOID: Corn, Wheat or Soy, and by-products. Those are all super unhealthy for our furbabies. Good luck!! |
Biff is now switching to Eagle Pac - Holistic Naturals made for small breeds. I'm going to try their puppy formula when we get Riley. The only thing Biff has been picky about with food is that he really doesn't like canned foods at all he likes the dry crunchy kibble pieces. |
Abby and Daisy free feed on Canidae and in the morning they get NV Raw. |
We're currently making the transition to Wellness! |
We have been very pleased with Canidae and Life's Abundance. We are currently using Life's Abundance. |
we feed the honest kitchen here. |
Merricks only. I use their regular line and now I switched them to the Merrick's Before Grain line. They love that stuff. They rush at me the minute I walk into the doorway with their bowl. |
I have been feeding Timberwolf Organic dry and Evanger wet. See my other thread about the Timberwolf. I'm considering switching, just researching what direction I want to go. I think I will try to get a sample of the Merrick Before Grain. |
My Littlest Mac is on Royal Canine Puppy Mini 33. That's what the breeder had him on and the vet said that was a good one to keep him on until he's at least a year old. Sometimes I add a teaspoon of Plain Yogurt. |
I feed Natures Variety Raw Frozen. :) |
Innova Evo... they love it!! |
Ellie eats homecooked food. |
I feed my puppies and adults Life's Abundance :) |
my baby eats innova puppy wet & orijen puppy kibble :) he loves both! |
My baby eats Royal Canin, too, also because that's what the breeder fed him. |
Canyon is on Royal Canin but we are transitioning to Natural Balance. |
I cook for Rocky, so nothing but fresh food for him. I just started to add supplements, Missing Link. He was fine till now, wanna see how this supplement will help. Many say good things about it. |
I kept her on the dogfood that the breeder uses and that she was always on. I had never heard of it and unfortunately it only has a 3 star rating on the food list posted earlier.:( It's Royal Canin Puppy 33. Anyone else heard of it? |
Conner is on Wellness. We have tried every kind of kibble, and this has been the only one he has liked. He also gets boneless, skinless baked chicken breast. |
Nature's Variety Tucker is on NV Instinct with NV raw medallions as a treat. Tried Wellness and he wouldn't touch it. Have also thought about Evo but heard it was too high in protein. Tucker is very active, but I heard it is best for dogs that are super active-do agility, etc. He really likes the instinct kibble, likes the Turkey and duck more than the chicken. Also love the raw but is too expensive to feed by itself, plus I forget to thaw sometimes ;) so it's nice to have the kibble too. |
I've got Winston on the Royal Canine mini puppy 33 also. Is this good or not good??? |
Spike eats Acana Small Breed Adult formula. It's made by a local Alberta company. They also make a high protein food called Orijen, which is a bit too much for small dogs, so I tend to mix the two together. Spike loves it! |
Roxy is on Royal Canine Mini Indoor Puppy. The more I read, the more confused I get. She likes her food, but not to the point where she over-eats, and she seems to be doing very well with it, so at this point, I think we will stay with Royal Canine. |
Thanks guys! |
I feed Suzi am organic puppy food By Nature .:aimeeyork |
I used to feed Eukanuba for yorkie, then switched to royal canin yorkie, then I tried natural balance, solid gold, innova, evo, avoderm, wellness, merrick, evangers, nutro, pedigree, science diet, tried raw but afraid to bacteria, home cooked- but too much for me, and etc. Now I found my dog food it's Artemis fresh mix.. been using it for 6 months now and I think I will settle for it. But it's very hard to find... I don't know if it's 100% good , it's just they seem to like it more than others..... |
Thanks for the info,,, hey karren how many babies you got??? |
Keely is on Eagle pack hollistic select, chicken and rice formula. She loves it! we feed dry and canned. Its for small breed dogs and small breed puppies. We also give her a conatiner of the cesar food (the wet stuff) once a week as a treat(she LOVES it but its such a crappy food we cant feed it to her regurally, i have noticed that the turkey flavored cesars slices has some pretty good ingrediants compared to the others) |
