I hope it isn't LS. His symptoms don't seem to match, but I could be wrong. Warm hugs to you and your little one. Keep us up on his progress. |

I hope your baby is ok! I know what you mean about the waiting games... I'm currently waiting for mine to "get better or worse". I had a bile acid test done because my baby had a few vomiting episodes. Other than that, she shows no cylinical signs of LS...However, her bile test did come back high, but not high enough to be considered a shunt. All of her other bloodwork/xrays are normal. So, they sent me home with metronidazole and an anti-vomit for a week. I'm supposed to wait it and come back for another blood panel on Wed - then repeat Bile Acid the first of september. The wait is absolutely killing me...! I guess I'm saying, I feel your pain.....just try to hang in there and enjoy the time with your baby. You can't worry yourself sick, because more importantly that little furbaby needs to to stay well for him! |
Thanks guys for the info. Christine I hope you baby is alright. Please, let me know how you make out. Elaine |

My little guy went in for his bloodwork for neutering and one of his readings were a bit high (liver function). My vet did not think it was a cause for concern but she did prescribe Hepato support capsule to ensure liver function is working well and will remove anesthesia from system properly. SHe will retest before surgery. I hope it is not a sign of LS. This is very worrisome. |
Copper is in right now for his Bile Acid test. Hoping for a healthy result. His first blood test came back ok for liver function, but high numbers for kidney function. I feel a little lost when he is not with me. |
How high was the BUN? |

I took him off of Orijen just in case and with in 8 hours the siezures stopped I haven't seen a siezure since, I am hoping that he doesn't have LS and maybe is just sensitive to the higher amount of protien. |

I would get him bile acid tested before surgery. That way, if there is a problem (hopefully not) and it needs to be corrected surgically, it could be done at the same time as the neuter. |
