picky picky picky I'm a relatively new yorkie mom, and no one else that i know has one, so they don't know... and the vet says it's normal for them... but i'd just like to know, do any of you have a picky baby... she eats eukanuba, it was what was recommended from the breeder... but man, she doesn't eat nearly what is recommended on the side of the bag. she hates treats although i have found that she'll eat the vitakraft yogurt drops, but that is seriously it. she'll be 6 months old on the 11th and weighs in at 3.5 lbs. the vet says she is a normal weight and sometimes seems concerned that she doesn't eat much. and just tells me to leave the food out for her and she'll eat when she wants to... and she does. but it just seems bad that sometimes she'll go a day without eating anything. anyone else have this problem? is it a problem at all? |
my baby Sadie is a very picky eater as well...that is until I changed her food to the Blue Buffalo for small breeds and now she about takes your hands off until you get her bowl to her. She loves this food!!! And about the only treats that she will eat is the Chicken Jerky by Waggin Train. |
you definitely need to find a better food. Have you tried a canned food or adding water to the dry? I would suggest you email some high quality companies and ask for samples - you can check their websites - ask for dry and canned, etc - I have found that these companies can be really generous - hopefully you can find soemthing that will work. Use this as a base http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...e-samples.html Also, you might want to read up on home cooking - so much knowledge here on this subject |
thank you for the info... yes i have tried canned food also, a few different kinds... some she won't even touch and i have another one that she does kind of like, i just don't know how healthy it is for her to have all the time. i have not tried adding water, i will try that first and see how it goes. again thank you! |
