Natural choice small bites puppy food or Royal Canin mini dog 33?? Has anyone had any good or bad experiences with either of these foods. My puppy is 11 weeks old and I have had her for 3 weeks now. The breeder had her on natural choice small bites puppy and I have continued to feed it to her and adding water to it to soften it and she drinks plenty of water but there have already been two different times where she has gotten constipated and her bottom was very irritated. Can it be the food causing this?? The vet says she is very healthy but I was considering switching her to the royal canin. Any advice??? |
I just re-found this website that put up facts about dog food. This information might help you decide.... Dog Food Reviews - Dry Dog Foods - Powered by ReviewPost |
We Love Royal Canin! I have 3 Yorkie's, Artie 4 yrs. old, Abigail 3 yrs. old and Tiffany Aloha 2 yrs. old (she is their daughter). Artie was a very picky eater and I went through almost every brand/type of dogfood to try to please him. Royal Canin has been the only dogfood that all 3 will consistantly eat without getting bored! When I had a Litter of Puppies 2 yrs. ago I raised them all on Royal Canin Puppy Formula and they never had any digestive problems. I love it too, they go pooh and it's odorless and they don't go as often. They all have long coats and that is controlled by Diet/Ingredients, plus it was one of 3 Dogfoods that were NOT on the Re-Call b/c it did not have wheat in it, it has rice instead. Besides I pride myself on giving them the Best of Everything. |
I don't know anything about the first food but Royal Canin has made several Yorkies very itchy. All foods have the potential to do this but RC is particularly bad. If a dog is on it and doing fine, that is one thing, but to start a dog on it, I wouldn't want to take the chance. Ellie had to have a steroid injection after eating Royal Canin LS 14. Their prescription diets are the only ones I'd consider. |
