Yorkie knee problems My Yorkie is having a problem with his knees, and he'll need surgery. He's only 1 1/2 years old. Has anyone had this problem with their Yorkies? Did surgery fix it? How long was the recovery? |

Thanks! Buster is having surgery in 2 weeks. |
Gracie had both knees done at once last January. The immediate post op recovery time was 8 weeks followed by another couple of months of rehab, which equated to a gradual return to normal activity. You will find her story when you search for LP. I posted a diary of sorts so others will know what to expect. Feel free to PM me if you have questions. |
What was the rehab about? Did you have to go somewhere to do it? |

My Wylie has LP, but is not at a grade to warrant surgery - so we're hoping Cosequin will help repair/prevent/delay his need for surgery. |
Sammy has this problem. He will need surgery in both legs. I have done so mmuch thinking about it and after posting on here last week that I was oging to wait, I changed my mind again. My surgeon has been doing it for 12 years and that is ALL he does. Just make sure you get more than one opinion. To all of you: You must be tired of me bringing up this subject.... Sammy will have surgery on Wednesday and have to stay at the vet hospital two days. We are nervous for him. My 12 year old i know for a fact will cry. I saw him limping much more than usual yesterday an called the surgeon first thing this morning. |

yorkie knee problems Hi, my gracie has just started with this problem, the vet first thought it was a sprain but it has been two weeks and it seems to dislocate frequently, it doesn't appear to bother her but I'm going back this week to see what can be done. Anyone with any ideas on this please post Thanks Pam |
Buster is in surgery right now. I have gotten 3 different opinions and the surgeon is a specialist. I am so nervous right now, I can't concentrate! |
