It's cooked turkey,no package. |
My vet said not to give Buddy turkey. It has too much fat in it. Chicken is ok. Just wanted to mention it to you. |
thanks for letting me know. I'll start giving him chicken instead. |
CoCoa B. is a "darlin" for sure! Never gave Tucker turkey breast but he barks for it but it doesn't matter what I have, if he sees I'm eating it, he wants some too! He tends to be a bit of a food hog so I have to be careful not to give him any but maybe one tiny bit of what I have and that's not all the time. I just lost a great little buddy on June 20th due to diabetes from being overweight; so with Tucker I'm very careful now not to get him used to snacks or people food. Of course there is the exception of a reward of 1 Cheerio when he goes potty on his wee-wee pads!:D |
Ellie like turkey but she only gets white meat with no skin or fat. I really can't just go to chicken with her all the time because chicken, turkey and egg is the only meat protein she can have right now. She is allergic to beef, liver compromised dogs shouldn't eat red meat, pork is hard on the liver and isn't the best choice for Yorkies and exotics aren't good for her liver either and too much fat could set off her pancreatitis. Too much dairy could potentially set off pancreatitis, so we don't use cottage cheese in meals...only as a treat. I've never tried tofu for her. So, Ellie eats turkey and it hasn't bothered her so far. :) |
