cheese as treats is a piece of cheese as a treat bad for your puppy ? my puppy seems to love and enjoy it but i would like the better for him . i tried cheerios but he just moves his head right to left like a no response :( i use cheese mostly for rewards and training . are there other suggestions for treats ? |
Cheese My baby LOVES cheese! That is one of her favorite treats. It used to be the only way I could get her to take her medicine (by hiding it in a small piece of cheese) I have not found any health problems with it, although I do not give it to her very often, only for a special treat. But personally I have not experienced any issues, but I would suggest only giving it to your baby in moderation of course! :) Hope that was of some help! |
My baby boy love's cheese as well. |
what kind of cheese are we talking about here? like kraft american cheese slices? that's what i think of when i hear "cheese" but it could be cubes of cheddar or mozzarella. i give Kash tiny pieces of american cheese very rarely. but when i do, he loves it! |
I give mine lowfat cheese |
A small amount of cheese occasionally is fine for most dogs. For an all-the-time training treat though, I think I'd go with boiled boneless, skinless chicken breast with no fat or seasonings or maybe tiny bits of watermelon or peeled apple.:) |
mmm Scooter LOVES cheese - Sometimes I give him bits of shredded chedder - only on REALLY special occasions though! And he doesn't like peanut butter (picky), so I crush up kibble and use cheeze whiz as glue and freeze it all in his kong! I try to use as little cheese whiz as possible though because I think real cheese would be better than processed for them. |
Mufasa LOVES cheese!!!! |
your doing the right thing! cheez is ok for them, and like you said it is most used for training only!! good luck hope its working for you:thumbup: |
I give mine cheese as a reward after bath time. They know if they have been cleaned up or brushed they will get a small piece of colby jack cheese. But they only get that for that reason. They don't mind bath time as they know what comes after that, they run to the refrig and wait. |
