Hmmm... clumsy walking 1 Attachment(s) Ok.. so the other day I posted a thread about Sophie being clumsy. Stumbles alot, trips over nothing. I took her outside today & video'd her on my phone but cant pull it off (dont know how) anyways... it shows what I am talking about it seems as though the area righ about her foot collapses causing her to stumble or sometimes even just fall forward. We are gonna be getting her checked out but just thought I would throw it out there to you guys & see what your thoughts were. I attached a pic of a dog skeleton to show where she seems to be giving out... |
I pray you get some answers on what is causing this. Does she do it all the time of just sometimes. It could be a neurological disorder. Have you ever had any blood work done on her? |
I am so sorry she is having trouble. Hope it is nothing serious. |
Oh Angi I am so sorry to hear about baby Sophie.:( I can't help you but I hope that others on YT can. Keep us posted on what the vet thinks. |

At first I was thinking she was stepping on her long feet hair so I had trimmed her pads & the top of her feet so they didnt hang over... but she still does it. I dont know. I dont know how in the world I am even gonna get her to walk in the vet office in order for them to see what I mean. I may ask that we all go out into their dog park area so she can walk along the sidewalk while they watch. |
Hope it is nothing serious, maybe you can show the vet the video you took if she doesn't do it at the vets office. Keep us posted. |

Angi, I don't have a clue except it sounds joint related possibly? Have you tried giving joint supplements? I remember you posting about the hair and I thought the same thing about it tripping her. Hey - you closing on a house? Cool - is there lots of extra room for foster kids?:D Hope the closing all goes smoothly! Do keep us updated on what you find out and I sure hope it's nothing too serious! |
I really have no idea what this would possibly be...but I will keep your little girl in my thoughts and prayers, I hope you do find the answer and it is something you will be able to treat with success. |
