[QUOTE=Stella's mom;2106471]Has anyone tried this? Dr. Goodpet - Scratch Free[/QUOTE No I haven't , do you use it?? I would would honestly try anything at this point. Trixie has lost a lot of hair on her back legs and her back. It seems when I think we're getting somewhere the cycle begins again. I sound like a broken record on here but it has consumed me. I just want to help her and hopefully we will find it. I will keep everyone informed. I know you are all trying so hard as well. ;) |

Feeling Awful I've started finding clumps of hair when Johnny moves on after scratching himself and am seriously doubting that I am doing anything right for this little guy. He's so sweet and lovable and full of blotches. Nothing I'm doing seems to work and I feel helpless. Can Tuesday's vet appt get here fast enough? :aimeeyork |
Something New to Try Yesterday was our holisitc vet visit. She explained her philosophy and thought his itching and scratching wasn't from food allergies but airborne. I also thought that his allergies couldn't be from food if he was eating a limited ingredient diet already! She prescribed hydroxyzine, an antihistimine without side effects, and a immunity support support supplement. He gets it mixed with peanut butter. YUMMY!!! So, there's no miraculous over-night change-no problem with that-but I'm feeling like we're going in the right direction. :aimeeyork |

The one good thing is at least( no food allergies) he can have special treats to make him happy during his miserable time.. I wish you both luck and I hope there will be one less itchy do on yorkietalk;) |
chester has itchy issues as well something in the air I think, I use grizzly salmon oil on his wet food, I use solid gold dry and addiction wet food, solid gold has no corn wheat or soy. I have used buddy boo boo for when he has the itches unless it is really back, buddy boo boo is from cloud star natural stuff in it works pretty good. |
I also use all soap with no dyes or perfumes in it, just in case that could be it. |
