Are eggs safe to feed yorkies Hi, I have a Yorkie named Lollie Pollie. She is 18 month old. Lollie has allergies and itches alot. We have narrowed the allergy down to corn, which is in all regular food products. She is now on a natural food from the pet store and is doing much better. I'm also feed her a supplement called dinovite it is suppose to help with allergies and itching. The trouble is she want eat it mixed in her food but will eat it mixed with a scrambled egg. Is it OK to feed her a scrambled egg each day. She still eat her regular food. She is not over weight and is very picky. :aimeeyork |
I feed my dogs eggs all the time. She should be fine. Welcome to YT. |
she only weights 5 lbs so I just didn't know if it would be to much |
I would just scramble one egg for her. That is it. DOnt want to give her too much. |
when my golden was in her dieing days, we fed her egg every morning :) we were actually told,(after the fact........ ) that she had canine distemper and that our care made her live much longer with the disease than she would have otherwise |
I feed mine scrambled eggs on Sunday for breakfast! They so look forward to it. |
I feed mine scrambled eggs. They love them. |
I have heard that eggs are good for our little ones. Also have you tried cottage cheese? Stewie loves it. |
brown rice and plaine hamburger or grilled chicken.........lol....... the things we do for our pets |
I'll have to try that. |
I feed Stewie cottage cheese and scrambled eggs, too. |
Only once a week that is that I actually COOK and that is only on Sunday morning and I make scrambled eggs with cheese and link sausages for my DOGS! Won't/don't cook any other meal at all, just for my boys. The boys know it is Sunday, since they let me "sleep in" (they wake me up no later than 6 am) and start dancing. When they see me get out the frying pan, all heck breaks loose and they dance and cavort until they get their breakfast. A side note, my Gar had flaky, itchy, dry skin, I tried every shampoo on the market. Then I remembered that my mother use to give our dachshund, a piece of bacon with a little bit of bacon grease every sunday morning. Mom said it made his skin shiny. So I tried it with Gar. The flaky, scaley skin is GONE! |
Feeding dogs people food If you are going to treat your dogs to our food just remember not to use ANY SPICES Their little kidneys can not filter spices (like ours can) and over time you can but them in kidney failure. :( Processed foods are bad for them as well all the ingredients they use to increase self life, are bad as well. Think before you feed !!! I just took my dad's lab in for this (eating from the table) The dog was a week at the vets office to be treated with medicine and I.V.'s Now he is having to feed a prescription food and Bear proably only has two years left. My vet told me she is seeing about two cases a week from feeding dogs people food. Just thought you would want to know. |
I just posted that milk gives Gus bad gas in Milk? thread. Eggs also does a number on Gus. Way worse then milk. Milk or eggs never got Gus sick,, just smelled sick!!! We try and stay away from milk, ice cream and eggs. My poor little guy,,, at times he can give his daddy a run for his money. LOL ppppppooooocccchhhhyyyyy |
