My Yorkie As A Patch On Her Back Were She Is Scratching It And Its Flakey And Crusty.i Have Used Tee Tree Cream From The Pet Shop Becaue The Treatment For The Vets Is Useless But It Still Seem To Still Be Bad.
You Might Rember Me Form Last Time When I Was Asking For Advise On Having Her Put To Sleep Which I Did Not In The End It Is Just One Infection After Another We Have Tried Three Vets They All Said The Same Thing Sit Just An Infection

...so what are you asking? Is she on any antibiotics? If so, she probably has an overload of bad bacteria as well, she may also be dealing with a yeast infection too, which causes skin issues :(

Can you give some more info???

No she no better and no she is not on any medication just now.We knew she had mites because the vet said when we first took her when we fot her over 2 years ago we are on the of the mites situation.but its just one infection after another for the last 2years.
Th question that i have posted yesterday is something that keeps coming back we dont know what it is the vet said last time it was a secondery infection.But the medication worked for a while until the tablets had finshed then it seem to come back again time after time.We dont know what to try next.

She is having skin infections all the time? From mites ? What type of mites did she have? I can't answer your questions, but i'd like more information about what is happening with your Yorkie.:aimeeyork

I did not know they were different type of mites the vet said that she also had the mange which started with a D i dont know how to spell it sorry.Like said earlier we dont know what to try next.

Demodex is a form of a mite. A lot of people here have had pets with Demodex. It is curable, but takes daily medication and baths with special shampoo every couple of days.

Can you give us more info? Is she taking any medications? Are you bathing her in special shampoo? What foods are you feeding? Any supplements?

What are the Vets telling you now? :(

She is no longer on any medication or daily bathing with a shampoo form the vets.The mites have cleared up now but its still on going with infections and the itchness the supplements that my yorkies are on is called yumegam you put it in their food once aday.
The food we give them is pedigree chum with gravy and also afew bisciuts twice aday other than that they have nothing different except afew dog treat every now and again.

Glad to hear the mites have cleared up. That is good news. Now, I am concerned that there is an infection going on and she is not being treated with antib's - unless it is a staph infection that keeps reoccurring due to the fact that she is itching, then scratching and bacteria is getting into the open skin, causing little scabs. Does that sound like what the Vet said is the problem?

If so, they you need to get to the root of her itching and stop the scratching. Her food may be the issue. Can you either home cook for her, or put her on a brand of food made for allergies?

Can you put a cotton shirt or cotton baby onesies on her to stop her from make her skin raw from scratching?

Did the Vet suggest give her some type of antihistamine to help control her urge to scratch?

I have found Burns holistic food is good. I've tried Max on various foods, but he has a sensitive stomach and I've found Burns to be very good for him.

Burns does not have additives and is only made with fresh ingredients. They advise not to add anything to it, since it has everything your needs.

Burns also have an advisor who is very helpful, with regards to feeding, and the advisor I received e-mails from was very quick to answer my problems.

If you go to the Burns site, where you'll get the contact e-mail address, you can request samples of their food. Max received three.
