Switching from puppy to adult food??? What is a good age to switch a now 7 month old over to adult food? Walker never really liked his Iams anyway and leaves the bowl sitting for Bailey, who's getting fatter and fatter in the meantime. I try and take Walkers food away after a few minutes but then I kinda feel bad because he has to go hungry. He ends up scrounging for food on the floor, begging at the table and chewing on sticks, leaves, clumps of dirt or gras.....anything!!!! I can't get him to JUST EAT HIS @#$&^& FOOD!!!!:mad: |
Mine are picky eaters, im personally not a big fan of Iams but i can tell you if you are looking to changing up his food, hoping that will spark his interest/hunger Royal Canin for Yorkies has never failed me or anyone else i recommended it to. |
7 months is an ok age. You can go with a food like Merricks or Chicken Soup that have all stages so you can feed both a pup and an adult the same food. Just remember to mix the food together to get him used to the new food. I don't feed Royal because it has corn and can cause allergies in yorkies. Not sure what foods are available in your area but try to feed the best quality of the foods you can. |
Im going to look into that, Kuma has been on Royal for almost 2 years now and never had any issues with it, Royal was recommended by this handler i meet on a dog show, but i sure dont want him to get sick either. will ask around, and look into some of the food brands ya mentioned. |
