Dry heaves Eddie threw up some clear liquid about 2 hours ago, and he's had a couple dry heaves since. My wife's giving him some white rice, and we're making sure he has plenty of water for dehydration. The only thing we can think of is he was playing with a cloth toy and may have swallowed some. My question: At what point should I rush him to the vet? |
My 2 year old, Merlot has done this before. It scared me at first, so I called the Vet. I used to call everytime he did something out of the ordinary, but now I know from experience to keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn't start choking. If he vomits again or continues the dry heaving I would give your vet a call. By the way. We just moved from McGrath, AK in April! I miss it, but I'm sure Merlot is alot happier here. He got frostbite on his ears last winter. :animal36 |

Dang, another Yorkietalker who moved FROM Alaska. One of these days, I'll meet another Yorkie owner in Alaska. But I am happy for Merlot. That's gotta be a rough life for a Yorkie. At least Anchorage is warmer in the winter and doesn't have as many predators roaming around. Thanks again. |
