Question about Plato Dog Treats I recently purchased Plato brand Chicken Strips for my furbaby. He loves them. I think they are a healthy treat because they have no artificial preservatives and no by-products. My only concern is the fat content. I am always a little confused on how to read the labels with dog food and treats. It says crude fat..15% min. Is that for the whole bag or just one treat? Also, is that a high fat content? |
Bump. |
Im not sure about the %'s. I just look at ingredients and give everything in moderation. Chewy used to love chicken strips too. Bumping... |
The pet shop I used to work for sold these and dog's just LOVE them. I also trust the buyer of that shop whole heartedly with only buying the best of the best to sell to pet owners. I understand your concern about the fat content, but these are pretty healthy, though I wouldn't give little pieces more then 1-2 times a day for our little ones. I suggest contacting the company with your question as they should be able to give more in depth info on the implications of these treats in your pet's diet. Oh and  good job with concern regarding fat content  1 in 5 American dogs are obese, shortening life spans, causing bone and joint issues, cardiac disease among other horrors. Great treats without a fat content worry are Halo Liv' A Little's. DOgs LOVE the chicken. Good Luck and if you do contact Plato, be sure to tell us what they say! |
