Can a 3 month old have a carrot? We harvested our carrots today and got a few that were just a few inches long. I was carrying them in and triss looked like she wanted one really bad. Shes 12 weeks and chews her kibble up nicely. |
Baxter has trouble digesting them at 6 months old. I chop them extremely finely for him and once I chopped them bigger and they came out just like they went in. So now he doesn't get them. |
If you freeze it I think it would be a great thing for her to chew on, but I wouldn't let her EAT a raw carrot only because she might not digest it. If I give my guys cooked carrots they don't come out the other end whole, so those must be easier to digest. |
You could grate a little in some yogurt or cottage cheese. I always worry they will bite off too large a piece and choke at that age, so I grated theirs. ;) |
I think I might be concerned about a 3mo.old. Kayla is just turned a yr. and I have been giving her the little tiny baby carrots for 2 or 3 mo. and she loves them. |
Bobby started getting carrots at around 6 months. I give him the baby carrots and cut them up into smaller pieces. He loves them and doesnt seem to have any problems digesting them. |
Mine love carrots! I think if you cut up the baby carrots that would be just fine! -Katie |
My Max loved to chew on carrots, but he didn't really eat them! |
Bella loves carrots and celery. My vet said she can only have 2 carrots a week though so she enjoys them when she gets them. |
Pookie loved to chew on them when he was teething. I gave him large ones, and he just chewed and made a mess with it, but he loved it. |
