skin allergies and sleeping in bed with us Some one suggested that if our Me-Me has skin allergies that it might help her if she does not sleep on our bed. Test on her came back allergic to Humans and Mold. Has anyone tried this? It 's going to break her little heart. |
If anybody has any helpful advice. I would be so thankful. |

We took her to a allergist. He's only finding was allergic to "human" and nothing specific. We have stopped going since it was just torture for Me-Me. He actually had her on antidepressants and antihistamines. She was always drugged. Me-Me was born with PDA, which causes a heart murmur. Her second heart ultrasound showed that it cleared up at over a year old. The cardiac surgeon was ready to operate and calls her a little miricle. I have always worried about drugs with her. I hope her new food and coat supplements will help her. She just turned three. |
I am so sorry to hear this, poor little thing. I didn't even realize dogs could be allergic to humans. I know I would have a hard time if Joey couldn't sleep with me. Wish I had some advise for you, I agree with Ladyj if you knew what was causing the allergy i.e. skin or hair, you might be able to work around it better. My Mimi has allergies too. I haven't pinned point what she's allergic to yet. I switched her food to lamb & rice and our vet has her on some over the counter vitamins and a special shampoo which seems to work. Its not stopping the scratching completely but I notice that she's not scratching as much anymore so she's comfortable now. I think its the pollen because when I take her out once it starts to get warmer outside her eyes swell up and she starts to scratch alot. If you'd like the names of the vitamins I have her on you can PM me. I'm at work now and don't have the bottles in front of me. I also have her on ear drops because she was scratching her ears alot due to allergies. |
