Adult dog eating puppy food? Malibu (my 3 year old) is eating Roxy's (my 12 week old) puppy food. He still eats a little bit of his food (adult science diet), but is mainly eating hers (puppy small bites science diet). Is this okay? Is it too rich for him? |

Same Question! Help! Hello! It's funny cuz I came on the boards to ask EXACTLY the same question! I have a 7 yr old bichon, Angel....and a 7 month old Yorkie, Mariah. They go crazy for each other's food! Angel is constantly sneaking into Mariah's x-pen and eating her food. Then Mariah goes crazy when she is able to get through our gate and immediately starts eating Angel's food...growling and everything (doing her best Tazmanian Devil impression-is what I call it) like she just got the best snack in the world and pitches a fit if you take it from her. I swear sometimes they plan it together since it's Angel who opens the gate for Mariah. Is it a case of they each want what they're not suppose to have? It's so strange! We feed them both Purina Little Bites but Mariah gets the puppy food and Angel gets the adult food. We're really, really struggling to keep them from eating each other's food. I was thinking about calling the vet to ask if Angel could just eat the puppy's food. I was also thinking about mixing the puppy and adult food and giving it to both of them. Anybody have any suggestions? |

Too rich for a grown dog. I would try to feed them seperately so he can eat his big boy food and the new baby can get the baby formula. |
