Does anyone feed Raw & Kibble? I think Charlie has allergies and I am really considering a switch in his food. I was wondering if anyone feeds raw & kibble either together or seperate, or just one over the other? I want more info from anyone who knows about this, so please advise!! Is raw too high in protein, what about raw kibble, basically grain-free, it is just as good as raw frozen?? |
If you want him to eat raw, I would switch all the way over. Kibble and food take different lengths of time to digest, so feeding them together can upset you babies tummy. Or you can do raw in the morning and kibble in the evening if you wanted to. But they have to be fed at least 6 hours apart.. |

Make sure you allow food to defrost overnight in the fridge before feeding. Defrosting in the microwave cooks the meat, changing the content of the food, rendering it less digestible and less nutritious. Go slowly while making the switch, start by offering little bits of raw feed as treats. Additionally, to ensure the allergies clear up, you will need to feed treats aligned with this new diet. Some people buy freeze dried raw meat treats, sold at many holistic pet stores and others use fresh fruit pieces... |
