What the heck is up with her? So 2 nights ago Violet started this thing where she will have a high pitched cry a few times a day and I can't figure out what it is. I tried touching different parts of her to see what was hurting and nothing- no scratches, bruises, nothing in her ear, mouth, foot or everywhere. I'm starting to wonder if its just for attention or something like that? Anyone have any experience like this? I've thought about taking her to the vet, but she doesn't have any other symtoms and she'll go hours without doing it and then I'll walk by her and she'll do it, or a blanket will be moved next to her and she'll do it. I'm so confused. |
gee that's a tough one. i'd probably bring her to the vet because it's better safe than sorry. Just beacause you can't touch the area doesn't mean she isn't hurting. Will she do it if no one is near her? or only when you walk by? |
It seems like its only when we are close but not touching her, or one of the other dogs is near by. But we can't make her do it or anything like that. She's also done it twice now when we've come home, thats why I was thinking maybe she's looking for attention like say hi to me first, but I dunno, its just so strange. I'm worried the vet will think it sounds weird and not know what I'm talking about, but maybe like you said they can figure out with some tests or something. |
well... that is such a tough one.. part of me says.. give it a week... but the other part says... if it is something serious.. a week is too long. Is your vet the type that you can say.. what do you think... without paying a pretty penny? Obviously it's the weekend... so see how she does tomorrow and monday. |
That is a hard one, especially not knowing exactly when she will do it. It is always so good if you could video it when it happens to be able to post and take to the vet. Maybe if you could put your phone or camera if it has video close to be on standby. Hope it is nothing serious. Please keep us posted. |
