HUMPING - After Neutering?!? My baby just got neutered on Friday, he is 17 wks old and 4 lbs 3 oz. He started humping a couple of days prior to the surgery, and I expected it to stop. But it's been 4 days since he's been neutered, and he's still attempting to hump - humping his porccupine, humping the corner of his bed, standing on his pillow and humping the air?!? I'm confused...is this normal at this age post neutering?? |
Spike was quite the little humper before his surgery. Afterwards, I noticed that he was doing it much less frequently, although he still does occasionally, especially to a particular stuffed rabbit (poor thing)! |
Baxter is still humping post-surgery. i have read that this is a sign of aggression not sexuality. Who knows? |
The strangest thing Bentley has been neutered for about 2 years. He is 6 years old. Whenever Porsche goes into heat, he humps nonstop. I thought it was just a lesson in frustration. Today, I actually saw "the lipstick" about 4 inches out!!! I didn't even know he could do that! |

My little guy still goes for the leg every now and then. I think its when he's bored. He doesn't do it nearly as much as he use to. He went from a few times a day before surgery to about once a week. Makes me feel so unwanted now. :( But you tell him no and he stops instantly and gets back to his regular doggy stuff. |
humping pooch I have a 1 year old male and ever since I can remember my dog will hump any large dog whether it be the leg or just the air around them. He want's nothing to do with small dogs I don't get it. He will not want anything to do with anything except that dog he will follow it everywhere and try and hump it and lay there looking at the dog and whine. I had a friend bring her 2 dogs down and I had to seperate them (Just the big dog not the puppy)it was crazy it almost seemed like a obsession. I thought about taking him to obedience classses but I do not know if it will help with this. Does any body else dogs do this. He dosn't do it to any stuffed animals just large dogs male or female and to people, but only if they have dogs he can smell them. And what is funny I have a 8 mth female and he dosn't even try to mount her and she has been in heat once. Also mine is not fixed. |
