I FEED HOMEMADE, |
Ive used it in the past. I stopped once I got Blaze though. Autumn did fine on it but it made Blaze itch like crazy!!! |
It has Omega 3 but it doesn't have Omega 6 fatty acid. Maybe that's the missing link. ;) |
It is safe but, in my opinion, it is not necessary with commercial food and not a good choice for homecooked because there aren't enough vitamins/minerals in it. So, for most dogs it is just another thing to spend money on... If you use it for homecooking, you will have to use other vitamins/minerals also. |
Ok, they have now added the Omega 6. Sorry I missed that. I think the missing link would be ideal if you feed dog food. I find it very expensive, and you can give Pet Tabs that have all the vitamins and minerals for quite a bit less money and lasts longer. |
I use it, and I have to say I think it works. Sweet Pea, my llittle puppy mill rescue had hardly any hair when I got her, and after I started using it her hair grew. My babies are so finicky I feel that no matter what, at least they have their vitamins. They won't reat pet tabs or any other vitamin, so I mix it in with their wet food. |
We use Missing Link faithfully and I have to say, I don't know if it's the supplement or the "gamey" diet I have the kids on, but their overall health is great and their coats are all coming in beautifully.... |
I think this is an excellent supplement |
I use this with all three of our dogs. It has really helped their tear stains. And I've noticed better hair in two of the dogs. Unfortunately, little Lucy is plagued with Matts, it doesn't matter what I do, she seems to get them. I don't know what she does in her crate at night, but after a bath or grooming she'll be matted the next day. But yeah I like it. I do the Missing Link Plus though for the joints, because Lucy thinks she's a flying dog and the other two are getting older. So yeah I think it's great. |
I homecook, and use missing link, do I need to use anything else?? |
Quote:
There is next to no calcium in it and it isn't balanced for homecooking.:) |

Ok! what should I buy? So I know they are getting everything they need? |
