How old are Yorkies when they get their tales clipped? I am curious... my little pup doesn't have his tale clipped at all. I don't think i will... he'll look weird but i think it'd be too late regardless, right? He's about 7 1/2 weeks old, and his hair isnt very long or fluffy... is this normal? It's still shortish and smooth, which i find odd since i see all these pictures of fluffy little yorkie puppies :( *sigh* I heart him so much! |
Don't do it - their tails are sooo beautiful when untouched :) His hair will change at around 4-6 months and he will grow the hair that will be long and silky. His puppy coat is fluffy from 9-10 weeks. |
I love longer tails so I bet your baby looks so cute! I got Missy at 8wks and she wasnt fluffy, she started to fluff out at about 12 - 14 weeks. I got Max at 12 weeks and I didnt notice he was really fluffy till the very next week so at 13 weeks. Do you have any pictures of your baby, we'd love to see him. |

Yorkies are supposed to have their tails "lopped" shorter? Omg...I didn't know that... |
nuggets breeder told us his tail was cropped when he was only a day old (i totally oppose but whats done is done...right??)...she said she does it that early so they dont "remember" the pain.. your baby will be beautiful either way...i would leave it!! |
