Yes Evie is home and sleeping.. although she moves around in her bed (I know from some type of discomfort) I was so glad to get "the call" when Evie was out of surgery (what a sigh of relief!!) But don't worry.. Everything will A-OK:thumbup: I did take pictures.. I will have to get them uploaded and on here |
I am so glad Evie is home and recovering, Roxie goes in next Tuesday for spay, microchip and baby teeth pulled and Pixie goes in for a Dental for her really bad gums and teeth. I am a wreck and just want them done and home again. How long did it take before they called and said she was out of surgery. If they let me I would wait in the waiting room. |
Edith - if Evie is too rambunctious tomorrow, wrap her in a blanket and just hold her. That is basically what I had to do with Angel. She would not stay still at all and all the activity along with constant licking of her sutures caused her to have a major infection. So, I had no choice but to bundle and hold her ALL day for about three days. She wasn't feeling very well from the infection, but she still wanted down. I wish I had thought of using my stroller then!!!!!!! Then, when I wasn't holding her, she had to have the E-collar. I'm telling you the collar with all the metal snaps weighed more than she did and she could barely lift her head!!! It was so pitiful, I couldn't even take a photo!!! |
Omg my Evie is going to be doing the same thing too! She has 4 teeth that needs to be pulled. I'm getting nervous just reading your post! I hope your Evie has a fast recovery! *Hugs* |

Oh Edith, I am so sorry hun! I knew how scary this was going to be for you as we have talked about it before :( But you will be so glad when everything is all over with :) I will be saying LOTS of prayers for her! As for the E Collar, I honestly and truthfully see NO need for that at all. Tatum NEVER ONCE wore one when she was spayed. She didn't bother the stitches at all - not once. I know your vet told you to use one (I really don't know why though ) but if it were me, I personally wouldn't do it  She is going to be just miserable with that thing around her neck for 2 weeks straight! :( The poor girl!! I would ONLY put one on her IF she bothers the stitches and won't leave them alone...but I would most definitely see how she does first before putting one on her. Let us know how it goes girl, and how she is doing once she comes home. Big hugs! |
Ok, what a nut I am  I usually check for updates before I post but I didn't this time and woudln't you know little Evie is already home! But that is a GOOD thing! :D I am glad that she is doing so well girl...I will be watching for the pics :) Give her a gentle little kiss for me :) |
Edith, I'm so glad she's home now and we send you guys tons of hugs. I hope these next few days fly by. It is so hard to watch them feel miserable. :( Please give that precious little teddy bear tons of kisses. If you need anything please just message me. :) |
I'm glad she's home and doing well!! You must be so relieved. |

Kayah has to have her teeth cleaned too.. but I'm going to wait till Evie is 100% better.. I took her in at 7 in the morning, by about 2-2:30 they called me to say she was awake and doing well and that they had to watch her.. she said she would be ready to come home at about 4:30.. We got there a little after four and they brought her right out to us.. There's really no sense in waiting there so long.. plus.. you'll just be more nervous.. this way you can still do stuff around the house;) |
