Yes, definitely let her know. It could go one of two ways. She could deny it or she could be responsible. This is genetic, so she needs to spay/neuter her breeding pair and inform all of the other people who bought puppies from her of that breeding pair. I hope everything goes well when you talk to her. So sorry to hear Paisley has a shunt. When Cali was diagnosed with MVD I contacted her breeder and told her that the vet said she should not breed the parents again and she said she wouldn't but I don't trust that she didn't. I only had a 48 hour guarantee (before I found YT) and she never offered a penny and I spent a fortune on Cali trying to diagnose her, so I would definately let the breeder know. You will really know what type of breeder she is by her response. |
