How do you apply your Petzlife Gel? I just got my bottle through the post today and tried it out on Pixie tonight, I just smeared a bit on her teeth, back teeth a bit tricky! she wasn't too cooperative...but i expected that! I'm hoping she will get better the more i use it. How do you guys apply yours? do you rub it on with a cloth or use a brush or just rub it on with a finger? |
I just use my finger, but some say they use a q-tip, and I've been meaning to try it because I waste so much. |
Guess I'm wasting mine too using the finger method. |
I use mine like a toothpaste |
I might give the Q tip a try then...I found it a bit tricky with my finger as it tends to slide off! I think i got most of it in her hair around her mouth at first!:pI guess it will be trial & error till i find the most efficient way of using it. |

Haha maybe I'm lazier than the rest of you, but my way is much easier than what you've all been mentioning! Call me a bad mommy, but I have no desire to brush my dogs teeth! I read this on here so I'm assuming it works just as well...I squeeze a little dab onto my finger and then I put it on their lips. They lick it off and therefore distribute all over their teeth with little effort from me! |
I use a Q-tip. Remember, no double dipping! :p |
I use dental wipes, then the finger brush glove with toothpaste and brush the teeth really good and then I apply the petzlife with my fingers on all the teeth. Pixie is a dream she just sits there and lets me do it, Roxie is getting better with letting me do it but Cali still fights me. I do this everynight for Pixie as she has bad teeth and gums and every other night for the others. |

I started out using my finger because they don't mind my finger in their mouths. Once they started getting more used to it, I started using a Q-tip. I follow the gel with the spray. My guys don't like it much, but they do tolerate it and sit still for me. Then, they get lots of snuggles which is their favorite part.:) |
