Dry Cough
 
Winston has a dry cough and it's been around for about 3 days. Is this anything to be concerned about?

how old is he?? when does he do it? is everything else normal? eating, drinking peeing pooping?

yes everything else is normal. He seems to only do it when he's relaxed. Usually at night in his kennel. So I'm not to sure what it could be.

it coudl be kennel cough.. even if he has had the vaccine he can still get it. Layla was vaccinated for it last year and came down with it. You should go see the vet. While they can't give you meds to cure it (its like a cold) they should give you antibiotics to keep it from developing into pneumonia. Also you should try putting a humidifier near where he sleeps. This really helpd Layla at night. Kennel cough can last months... Layla's took over a month to go away.. but you should for sure see your vet.

Thank you, he goes to see the vet for his 3 shots mid-June. He seems to be fine so I think I'll wait until than to get it checked out. If it developes more I will get him in sooner.

It could be kennel cough or allergies...Those both tend to cause coughing/hacking at night...He may need to go to the vet for antibiotics or something...
