Baby Teeth VS. Adult Teeth Is there a way i can tell which teeth are baby teeth and which are adult? I ask because i know my pup has lost a few but im not sure exactly how many or which ones... :confused: shes just over 5 months and will be spayed just 5 days shy of 6 months. do all her baby teeth need to be gone by then? what happens if they are not? |
All of my girls had to have baby teeth pulled when they got spayed. 2 of my girls had both sets when i got them.:D I wouldn't worry to much about them falling out now...just have the vet pull all the baby teeth when she is spayed and she will be just fine. She should have most of her adult teeth at 6 months. She will eat better with her baby teeth gone too. :D |
My baby is just about 6 months and he has finally lost the baby small front bottom and top. He still has his baby canines though. The adult teeth seem to be less opaque and a little more rounded than the baby. I would give your pup a few more months to lose them, sometimes it takes awhile. If by a year they are still there you may want to have them pulled. You can also ask you vet when you bring her to be spayed. If he sees adult teeth coming in he can just pop out the Babies :) |

Mia is almost 6 months and has lost all of her bottom front and upper front baby teeth. I'm not sure If she has lost any others, but i don't see any double rows. I'm crossing my fingers she won't have to have any extracted. If you think she will lose more baby teeth, I'd extend the appt. out a couple weeks or so. Mia's spay appt. is the beginning of June and I'm going to set the appt. out an additional couple of weeks to let some more baby teeth work their way out! |
Two Row of teeth My baby is a week away from 6th months and I noticed he has two rows of teeth. I am very worried what should I do??? |
I can't tell anything about Pookie's teeth. He's 5 months old now and I don't know what's in his mouth. He's not crazy about me looking in there. Someone on here said he should have his adult teeth by 6 months. That worries me a bit. I think I've got a slow bloomer! |
I think it varies, some take longer. If there is a double row I would have your vet take a look and see if they should be pulled. They may be loose and just be ready to fall out. I'm not going to worry about the adult canines unless I see a double row come in and the Babies don't feel loose. I'd hate to have to have him get anesthesia again :( |
