Is it canned pumpkin for diarrhea? I am switching Ace to homecooked food. For the last 2 days he has had really soft stool to diarrhea. Only a small amount-no blood-and he is still active and rowdy as ever. I also give him nutrical puppy-very small amount at night-can this cause it-it is corn syrup based? |
I think it's for constipation. |
Canned pumpkin helps to firm their stool, so yes you can feed it to your pup when he has diarrhea. Im going through this with my pup now actually... hes acting normal but has had diarrhea for 2 whole days :( poor little guy! Last night it had traces of blood around the edges and I ddnt have pumpkin so I gave him some plain white rice. This morning the blood was gone and the stool firmed up a TINY bit. Im going to give him boiled hamburger and more white rice tonight. That should help also. |
Pure canned pumpkin works for both diarrhea and constipation. |
okay I was wrong, sorry. :( |
I did the white rice and hamburger-helped a little. Poor guys! |
canned pumpkin is a great regulator which is why it helps with both constipation and diarrhea |
I was told that the Nature's Variety freeze-dried raw helps with diarrhea. Just a new interesting fact I heard. |
