what is wrong with eukanuba? I saw someone say not to buy it and Andy has been eating it since he was 6 weeks. |
You can check its rating on this food rating list. I think it got a B or C grade which you can find alot of foods that get an A instead. Look at what the first 3 ingredients are. They should be Meat products like Lamb, chicken, chicken meal, lamb meal etc... not Chicken by products or corn or wheat etc. Hope this helps... |
does your dog eat his poo? mine was eating hers, i was using eukanuba. hopefully this new food will get her to stop. i think eukanuba has corn in it, which is not good for dogs. |
we were feeding ekanuba too. and my little one was have hypoglycemia problems and have since changed his food to Solid Gold. Just reading the ingredient list helped me make my desicion to change. Ekanuba does have a lot of by products in it. |
Eukanuba is full of animal bi-products which are the parts of the animals that aren't ok for human consumtion (feet, head...) It is also full of fillers (corn, starch.. things dogs DON"T need) the quality of the ingredients are beyond below satisfactory. I am someone who believes in only feeding Layla something i myself would eat and i wouldn't eat Eukanuba. |
Any suggestions? I know my baby will be coming to me eating Eukanuba. Are there any suggestions on which food to switch to? I know that the switch should be gradual. I was honestly thinking of homecooking since I found this natural pet food cookbook in Barnes & Noble. |
solid gold, canidaie, innova, merrick all good |

Believe me, I will!! Thanks for the info!! |
useful web-site My baby ate Eukanuba at first too, but then he had problems with his bowels. The vet said that maybe the food isn't right for him and too hard for him to digest. So I did some research and I came across this web-site on Yorkie talk: The Dog Food Project - Introduction I did a lot of reading. Basically I looked at the ratings of the food in the end and that's how I picked. We use EVO, Innova. He is quite healthy on it, but this food is low carbo so it's not good for all dogs. The web-site explains how you can tell if the food is good for your baby or not, by ingredients and how your baby looks in 3 months after a new food. Good luck!!! |

I just started my girl on Evo Red Meat small bites. So far haven't noticed her eating her poop anymore and she seems to like the food. I heard the other day that you're supposed to change the food every 6 months or so to keep them from developing food allergies.. does anyone do this? |
