How much does it cost to be spayed?
 
Just wondering what everyone here has paid so I can see some averages so I know whether my vet is being outrageous or not! Thanks!

My vet charges $180.00.

How much did he want?..my vet wanted $406.00 and that was for neutering...spaying is a much more invasive surgery so he probably would've charged like 450.00-500.00...I ended up going elsewhere and paying 150.00 but it was not a good experience and in hindsight I would of paid the extra money...BUT I didn't want to leave my baby overnight!!!

SHUT UP! WHOA! I'll stick to my country-fied vets. My regular vet charges around $90 and the low cost spay/neuter clinic charges around $50.

My vet was expensive she charged me about 450 this included surguery the safest anethesia and a stayover.. I thought expensive too.. You may want to check out the aspca by you I hear they do it for much less.

Has anyone had the laser surgery. They are not supposed to be as sore. I had my cat done that way and it was awesome. I think this may be the price difference. :rolleyes:

Its around $150 in Chicago for a neuter.

Ya, i would check around.Maybe ask your local dog pound.A lot of the time you can get it cheap cuz its a plus to spay or neuter your animals (over population)

I haven't spay Gucci yet. My vet charges $230 + any extras like teeth pulling. My vet is in the ASPA Bergh Memorail Hospital in NYC.

My vet quoted me $250 for the abandoned kitty to be spayed (she just had a litter of kittens) so I'm guessing it would be around that much for a dog to be fixed :confused:

Around $300 here. Although you can sometimes find low cost clinics if finances are an issue.

Winston got neutered and his last set of shots at the same time... with a night stay we paid $230.
