canine lymphangiectasia My two year old yorkie was diagnosed on thursday with lymphangiectasia. He is currently in critical condition and has been on Hetastarch for over 24 hours to increase his albumin proteins and reduce the edema surrounding his organs. His protein levels are still very low and he is not eating. The vet said his only chance at survival is to do a blood plasma transfusion. He is undergoing this procedure today and the vet will be taking him home with her to monitor his progress. Has anyone dealt with this illness? I am very worried for my baby's life right now. He is a very strong little man and I know that he has the determination and will to beat this. If anyone has any information about their experiences please let me know! Thank you! |
Oh, I am so sorry to hear this. I've never heard of this and hope someone will come on to help you. You and your baby will be in my prayers. :hands::hands::hands::hands::hands::hands::hands: |

Sorry, I don't know anything much about this. Just wanted to express my concern for your little guy. Maybe, someone else here knows more and can offer more information to you. I'll say a little prayer that all will be well. |
