please help Last night we noticed something unusual about Muffys breathing. Sometime when we come hope and she is excited, she will snort and breath something like a snore. she continued to do this all nite and even snored loud when sleeping. Otherwise she seems ok, other than this noise. I was trying to figure out why she is doing this and I came upon the idea that maybe it is a food allergy as I changed her food from another brand. I just bought the old dog food and and will throw out the other stuff when I get home, of course I'm not positive that this is it. Has anyone had experiences this this type of noise. |
It could be lots of things like outdoor allergies, I would try to keep a record for the next few days of when it happens and what transpired before it happened. Did she eat? Was she outside? As long as she seems normal on all other accounts that is what I would do for the weekend. If she is showing any signs of distress or trouble breathing I would call the Vet. |

Keep a close eye though. Don't want it to be anything worse than that!! |
It could also be reverse sneezing... |
Just checking to see how Muffy's doing....... |

Hmm I swera I hear my Jini snoore once in a while. Sometimes she even have this cute barking when sleeping, it seems like she is dreaming. |
Thanks all, she is a little better since I went back to the chicken, rice, vet. diet. But she still is making some noises but she is definitely not in distress. She is 5 years old and other than snoring at nite and snorting when we come home (excited) I never noticed her with allergies. I guess than can come at any time tho. What do you do for allergies. Does the vet. offer medicine?? |
