Can Someone tell me about these supplements I was given today?
 

We had a visit with a Holistic Vet today. I am interested in any information that anyone might have on these and if they have used them.


I am listing the Brand and then the supplement name.

Rx Vitamins: Rx Xyme (I believe it is a digestive enzyme ? It's a powder)

Vertri-Science Labs: UT STRENGTH

Proanthozone 10 (The bottle says Nutrient and Antioxidant Supplement)

Nutri-West: Whole System Kidney

Sorry, I am of no help, have never heard of any of these, but will bump your post back up.

Very interested in knowing, sounds like urinary tract, bladder & kidney Health!! My baby :aimeeyorkNygee is suffering from all of the above!!! I'm very interested in going holistic... Looking for a vet in my area... Is your baby suffering from bladder stones, kidney stones or urinary tract infections? What did the vet say and why were these prescribed?

I am bumping this too...

We have those same problems...no stones, lot's of crystals...bladder infections. We use a prescription diet now and it has helped. I would love to know more about these supplements.

Can't really say much about them without seeing a label. Digestive enzymes are always helpful, esp. in your pup's case. The other 3, can't really say much without seeing ingredients. :)

I will post the links i found on them when i get some time. I have TONS of housework to do this w/end and I promised hubby that I would give it a little break and spend some time with him. If you do a google search until I am able to post them you can see what they are about.

The Porantnozone: is for the liver you can buy on line for 16.99
Kidney support- protects the whole kidney (also on line for 19.00)
RX Enzyme-is a digestive supplement (can't buy on line)
UT Support for the urinary tract- (can't buy on line)

I do want to add that he summed this up after reviewing the labs and after learning of our history with crystals, UTI's, abnormal BAT... (which we learned was caused from the flovent) and soft stool issues.

I strongly think the digestive enzymes are helping. I am supposed to give 1 teas to each of them but I started small- only gave 1/4 teas. the poos are definitely smaller and more formed. I am not giving any more of the raw bc sadie got sick 3 times. Nothing major just a little. She only had a dime size of the raw but it was enough to upset her tummy I think. she has no runny stool, and is crazy and energetic and has an appetite like crazy but still I am not giving her anything until dinner time.. no snacks. the best thing is to rest the pancreas.

I am getting my schedule together this week and going to block off some time so I can FINALLY call Susan Davis. The home cooked scares me just bc I am afraid any change it diet is going to make her sick. But we need Susan in the biggest way. Especially since the Specialist, our vet and even the holistic vet could not give us what we needed with diet.

I realllly am thinking these supplements can help A LOT though and hey it's worth a try :-)

The whole kidney supplement I think is wonderful bc I read up on that one and you can also buy that one on line... 19.99 for a month supply. the girls chewed them right up so they must have some flavor on them :-) I was worried that maybe they wouldn't eat them, but they did.

Do you know if Susan does w/end calls by chance. I will check with her but I was just curious.

I go to a holistic vet & I really trust what he prescribes - I also know if it doesn't do the trick he will use traditional medicine. But I love having the internet to look up these companies that make the herbs & supplements & you can research the ingredients & what they are used for.

I checked out her website and she does do w/end calls they are just a bit more. I will see what we can work out. If she prescribes a "home cooked" do you really think that I could handle something like this? Is it complicated? Can i make a large batch maybe and freeze into individual portions. Someone on here I can't remember who??? :-) did that. I am nervous about home cooking and that I may not put in all the nessessary nutrients they need but I guess susan will give me everything I need to know.
