my Yorkie has a cold! hi everyone! After my puppy's second shot and she got another shot that day for her kennel cough (forgot what it's called though), the Vet said that she would have a slight fever. So she got her shot.. didn't really notice the fever.. but she's been sneezing now for over a week. Is that the symptom of a fever for a dog? On top of that, my mother and I have caught it from her. Should I see the vet about her sneezing? or will it pass? any medicine or remidies that i should be giving her?? thanks.. all your replies are much appreciated. |
Hazel, it wouldn't hurt to contact the vet. The Kennel Cough Vaccination is actually put up the nose. It's not a shot. So, you might just give the vet a call and ask for sure. |
Oh you are right..the second one was put up the nose! |
Bordetella vaccination is available in injectable and intranasal forms. It takes about 4 days for immune response. If your baby had or has kennel cough usually amoxicillin and a childrens cough suppressants will work... I hope your vet didnt give the vaccination because your dog had kennel cough it doesnt work at all if your pup was already infected. hope this helps |
Hazel, I think you should contact your vet. I hope she start feeling well soon. |
