I hate to disagree with everybody but these pups have a good chance of being perfectly healthy. If there was not lots of inbreeding in the lines they came from one instance of inbreeding my not have any great effect. You would need to know a lot about the ancestry to give a good prediction. Are these AKC dogs? Are they good representatives of the breed? Etc. I certainly wouldn't put them down without giving them a chance. If they are born with problems then a decision can be made at that time. |
I don't know of any breeder experienced or not that would breed brother and sister. I know some breeders do half-brother and half-sister breedings. The best thing would have been to have the female spayed early on. At this point one could go either way. You have to consider the health and size of the momma. The pups might be healthy with no deformities or they could be deformed and die and that will put a lot of stress on the momma. All I can say is that I will be praying for the owner, the momma and her babies that all goes well. I hope you will give us an update as to the outcome of this. |
