baby teeth removed My yorkie will be getting spayed soon. I have heard this is the best time to get teeth removed. Has anyone gotten the dog spayed first and then had the babyteeth removed later? |
Why would you wnat to put a puppy under twice when it can all be done at once? |
Hi there, I've heard it is best to do both together. I did this with Lucy and I'm glad I did. Is there a reason you are considering doing them later or are you just asking in general? :) |
well i do want to do this all at once. I thought getting my puppy spayed early was the best option she is 8 months. I just wondered if the teeth would fall out on there own eventually when she got a few months older instead of having them pulled. I guess I thought it would be easier for her to recover from the spay only instead of her gums and tummy hurting thats all. |
I did them at seperate times but if you can do both at once, then I definitely recommend it. At 8 months, the teeth will probably not fall out on their own so I'd have her spayed and any retained teeth pulled at the same time. I had Lacy's pulled around 8 months of age..her 4 baby canines had to be pulled |
